NAHMA recently received this application to participate in HUDs Tax Credit Pilot Program from the Multifamily Deputy Assistant Secretary, Ben Metcalf. The following message was included with the application:
The mission of Multifamilys Low Income Housing Tax Credit Pilot Program is to refine FHA application requirements and processing which ultimately leads to more affordable housing options. To help accomplish this, we are now expanding the lending industrys participation in the Pilot through a fourth lender selection process.
Please review the attached memo about applying to participate in HUDs Multifamily LIHTC Pilot Program. Applications must be received in 30 days to be considered.
The LIHTC Pilot Program was launched on February 3, 2012. HUD must pre-qualify MAP lenders for participation in the pilot program. All new applications and requests to reapply must be received by HUD on August 14, 2014. HUD will deliver its lender selection decisions no more than 30 days after the submission deadline.
