HUD’s Green Technical Assistance (TA) Corps is open. Through this pilot initiative, experts on energy efficiency and green building will provide direct technical assistance to HUD grantees. Preference will be given to HUD grantees seeking to incorporate energy and water conservation measures to ultimately achieve utility and cost savings.
HUD’s Green Technical Assistance is available now to assist HUD grantees with:
o Diagnostic Assessments/Measurement Verification
o Energy Performance Contracting for PHAs and Multifamily Property Owners
o Green Design, Specifications/Construction Review
o Green Operations and Management (O/M)
o Financing Energy and Green Building Improvements
o Renewable Energy
Requests for technical assistance will be accepted on a rolling basis until November 16th. Notifications will be sent to approved Technical Assistance recipients no later than December 7th, 2012. All Affordable Green Technical Assistance should be completed by February 2013.
