  • The Executive Office of the MAHMA is an up-to-date resource center for legislative information concerning affordable housing. We are becoming increasingly important as an up-to-the-minute source of regulatory and legislative information, which we pass down to our members.
  • Receipt of express bulletins, legislative and regulatory alerts, vendor listings and online Membership Directory.

Education & Training

  • Specific training leading to certification and/or designation in the affordable housing industry. The various designations we offer include: National Affordable Housing Professionals (NAHP), Specialist in Housing Credit ManagementTM (SHCMTM), Certified Professional of Occupancy (CPO), Fair Housing Compliance Certification, National Affordable Housing Maintenance Technician & Supervisor, and Green Credential for Property Management.
  • Quality training for housing assistance management. Online and remote seminar subjects may include: Fair Housing, Tax Credit Training, HUD, Regulatory Compliance, Financial Accounting, and Basic Apartment Management. The Association provides seminars in a variety of timely topics throughout the year and an extensive educational offering at our two-day annual meeting.
