On May 18th, HUD published a Federal Register notice announcing the use of form documents. The forms, which can be used in RAD conversions, include new and revised documents, and forms for the conversion of Section 202 PRACs. The documents for which HUD is seeking comments are located here. Comments are due by July 17, 2020.
We have posted FAQs for stakeholders related to managing RAD conversions during the current COVID-19 pandemic. The most recent update includes further guidance on completing environmental reports when professionals may not be able to access the interior or exterior of the site. This guidance provides an option that would give PHAs more time to execute new Section 8 leases at the point of conversion. Repositioning Wednesday Webinar Series HUD has begun hosting a new
“Wednesday Webinar” series intended to explain and discuss common issues related to public housing repositioning though RAD, Section 18, and Streamlined Voluntary Conversion. The webinars will be held on Wednesdays from 1:00 – 3:00 PM ET. We encourage PHA directors, staff, residents, board members, and others working with PHAs to develop and execute a repositioning strategy to participate.
