Many affordable housing properties, including MAHMA and NAHMA member owned and managed properties, have been negatively affected by Hurricane Sandy. If you were impacted by the hurricane, please know that NAHMA’s thoughts are with you during this difficult time.
As affordable housing properties begin the clean up from this disaster, NAHMA wanted to provide information to our members regarding Federal and State resources to help aid in the natural disaster recovery efforts.
The National Council of State Housing Agencies (NCSHA) has put together a Disaster Relief Resource Center to provide information on the resources and rules that apply to different affordable housing programs in the case of Presidentially Declared Disasters and State Emergencies.
The Resource Center may be found here: http://www.ncsha.org/resource-center/disaster-relief-resource-center
Links to the Resource Center are also available at NAHMA’s HUD and Tax Credit Websites.
