HUD released their annual income limits for 2025 (available HERE) that determine income eligibility of applicants for HUD’s assisted housing programs and LIHTC. According to NOVOGRADAC, “The average annual change in HUD’s Very Low-Income (VLI) limit across HUD areas is 4.6%. The maximum increase for the fiscal year 2025 cap is 9.2% (the greater of 5%, or twice the change in the national median family income, with a cap of 10%) unless a LIHTC development is eligible for Housing and Economic Recovery Act (HERA) Special income limits.”
