The multiday event, Wednesday, Oct. 22-Friday, Oct. 24, will feature panels concentrating on the issues facing affordable housing practitioners and educational topics for navigating today’s world led by experts in their fields. The annual meeting features several educational panels geared explicitly toward the affordable housing industry. Invited guests include representatives from the Housing and Urban Development and Agriculture departments, and more. Panels featuring government officials and other special guests are not open to the media and may not be recorded. Event registration includes admission to all sessions and open committee meetings, including the Vanguard Awards luncheon and panel discussion.
The preliminary agenda is now available on the Meetings webpage. As the event date approaches, attendees will be able to download the official meeting app, which provides access to the full conference schedule, speaker bios and photos, sponsor information, attendee list, meeting materials, and more. The NAHMA Educational Foundation will host its annual Inspire Gala on Oct. 23, at the Long View Gallery, 1234 9th St. NW, Washington, D.C., to raise funds for its scholarship program. The evening will feature live music, dinner, a few surprises, and both live and silent auctions, including Drug-Free Kids Calendar posters, trips, jewelry, and other unique items. A highlight of the gala will be the presentation of the prestigious Inspiration Award. A separate ticket from the NAHMA October meeting registration is required to attend.
